Burwash Community Speedwatch

Burwash Parish Community Speedwatch Group

 Desperately need Volunteers!

  • We have carried out over 120 sessions since the group was set up in July 2016.
  • Letters from Operation Crackdown are sent out to speeding drivers within a few days of our sessions.
  • Over 700 vehicles have been caught exceeding the speed limit within Burwash (over 30mph) and Burwash Common and Weald (over 40mph).

Fastest recorded speed within the Burwash Parish has been 55mph and this was during school pick up time.

However, to continue this initiative successfully we need volunteer operators in both Burwash and Burwash Common and Weald to ensure that we can continue to have a positive impact on this growing problem of excessive speed.

30 minutes once a month is all it takes to make a difference

We would like to welcome you to sign up to be a part of this worthwhile Community initiative.
