Burwash Monday Painters

The 'Burwash Monday Painters' is an organisation for people who love to paint and who enjoy sharing this pleasure with others of a similar mind. We meet in the Burwash Village Hall on Mondays at 1.00pm during the winter. We have now begun our winter season. Until the end of April we shall be turning our attention to painting still life projects such as 'Natural Forms', 'Still Life to Abstract', 'Musical Instruments' and many others. Some may choose to work on something different to the offered project. We also have demonstrations given by the very experienced members in the group. The ability of the members is varied from those of us who have taken up painting after retiring and others who have spent a lifetime of involvement in the painting world.

Our exhibition that was held at the end of October in the Village Hall was again a great success and a very enjoyable day, supported by many local people who came in for a cup of tea and a chat and to see what we had produced from our weeks painting out of doors in the summer. We have had some new members during the past year and so the work on show was even more exciting, seeing what they had achieved.

We would like to thank all who helped us to advertise our exhibition. St.Philip's Parish Magazine, Horam and Vines Cross Village Diary, Burwash Broadsheet and Heathfield First, not forgetting all the local retailers who displayed our flyers in their windows. We thank you all very much.

For the next few months you will find paintings produced by the Burwash Monday Painters exhibited at ' The Bistro' Etchingham Station, where you will find a very warm welcome.

Our next Exhibition will be in April 2012 in the Union Church Hall, Station Road, Heathfield.
