We want to encourage local residents to use local shops and businesses wherever possible rather than travelling by car and shopping elsewhere. It’s better for the environment, reduces your carbon footprint, and stimulates the local business economy – and that’s good for everyone.
This is our first listing. We’ve promoted the A to Z locally, called and made personal visits to many businesses, but inevitably there will be some we have missed. Others have yet to supply us with the information they wish to have listed. We want to see all businesses in our community listed – please encourage those that are missing to write an entry.
The listings are written by the owners of the businesses, and inclusion in the A to Z doesn’t constitute a recommendation by the Parish Council. Grouping businesses is never easy - we've chosen 12 broad categories as shown below.
